Simon Moss

Having first joined the station in 1987, Simon holds the record for leaving us the most times (currently 3), but like the proverbial bad penny, he keeps coming back!

During his time at the station he has been a committee member, hosted a Beaujolais Nouveau tasting live on air, walked from First Avenue Hove to Preston Park in the rain rattling a collecting tin, and been a proud member of the overnight sponsored broadcast team 'Men Behaving Baldly'.

Another claim to fame was the 24-hour solo sponsored broadcast from 12 Noon, 31 Dec 1989 to 12 Noon, 1 Jan 1990, which raised over £200 for station funds.

Currently, he presents Just Jazz, an hour of classic jazz every Thursday evening. The show includes LP's and CD tracks ranging from Ella Fitzgerald and Benny Goodman, to Diana Krall and Harry Konnick Jnr.. Special features include 'Thumbnail Sketch', a brief history of a jazz musician with a couple of their best known tunes, and 'Local Music', featuring Sussex jazz musicians. Also jazz news and local tour dates.

Every week Simon plays a selection of recent CD reissues of classic Jazz LP's in Just Jazz. To see what tracks Simon has played, take a look at our Playlists page.
